New research from Shawbrook Bank has found that more than a third (38%) of married couples admit to feeling overwhelmed by the cost of their marriage before the big day.

The initiative aims to find the best budgeting tips and tricks to help share ideas for a new wave of engaged couples – giving participants the chance to win £ 1,000 in vouchers in exchange for their best budget hacks.

The Shawbrook Bank survey found that nearly a fifth (20%) of married couples had to cut back on their dream wedding day due to soaring costs.

But despite the expense, almost half (47%) still felt like they had had their ‘dream day’ – the majority of married couples admitting they wouldn’t spend less on anything if they did. had to start all over again.
